Makes humans aware that their small actions also have an impact on the environment.

In our research we discovered that small actions can have a big influence on the environment. For example walking through grass on a certain path regularly, does not allow flowers and other sensitive things to grow or live. Our installation makes aware of this fact. The installation is displayed hidden in high grass and therefore not clearly visible at first. The alarm inspired mushrooms start to ring, when a person walks nearby. The mushroom’s cap is made out of brass. Through a vibrating speaker the caps start shaking and clash, resulting in an alarm like sound. The speaker is triggered by computer vision.
